Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar for about a minute until light and fluffy. Add in the milk and vanilla extract and mix to combine
  • Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to the bowl and mix until the dough forms. Lastly, fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop the dough using a medium cookie scoop and roll into balls. Place the rolled dough a few inches apart onto the prepared baking sheet. Top the dough with more chocolate chips, if desired.
  • Bake the cookies for 12-14 minutes. The edges of the cookies should be just starting to turn a light golden brown. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer them to a cooling rack to finish cooling completely.
