Don't let the price of eggs stand between you and a fresh batch of cookies! These cookies have all of the goodness and flavor of a classic chocolate chip cookie, but without using any eggs!

INGREDIENTS FOR EGG-FREE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

This recipe calls for most of the standard ingredients needed for classic chocolate chip cookies, with the obvious exception of eggs. Here's what you'll need to whip up a batch:

    • All-purpose flour

    • Baking soda

    • Salt

    • Granulated + light brown sugar

    • Unsalted butter

    • Vanilla extract

    • Milk

    • Chocolate chips

    MAKING EGG-FREE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Step 1: Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar for about a minute until light and fluffy. Add in the milk and vanilla extract and mix to combine.

Step 2: Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to the bowl and mix until the dough forms. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Step 3: Scoop the dough using a medium cookie scoop and roll scoops into balls. Place the rolled dough a few inches apart onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Top the dough with more chocolate chips, if desired.

Step 4: Bake the cookies in a preheated 350°F oven for 12-14 minutes. The edges of the cookies should be just starting to turn light golden brown. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes, then transfer then to a cooling rack.

TIPS FOR THE BEST EGG-FREE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

♦ Use your favorite chocolate chips! Whether you like milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or something in between, use your preference of chocolate chips! I love semisweet chocolate chips, so that's what I used.

♦ Don't over bake your cookies. The key to getting soft and gooey chocolate chip cookies is not over baking them. The centers will still be a little soft when you pull them out of the oven, but they will firm up once they cool.

♦ Top them with flaky sea salt. This is a totally optional step, but topping these cookies with a little flaky sea salt gives them a nice little crunch and extra bit of saltiness.
