    Double Chocolate Peppermint Oreo Bark

    Are you ready for one of the easiest, tastiest treats you'll ever make?? Then let me introduce you to double chocolate peppermint Oreo bark! This sweet treat is perfectly minty and will satisfy any sweet tooth. 



    What ingredients do I need to make peppermint Oreo bark? 


    This super easy sweet treat only takes a few ingredients to whip up. Here's what you'll need:

    • White chocolate

    • Bittersweet chocolate

    • Peppermint extract

    • Oreo cookies

    • Candy canes

    • Sprinkles (optional)




    Melting the chocolate

    There are two methods you can use. You can easily melt the white chocolate and the bittersweet chocolate using either a microwave or a double boiler!

    Jazz up that bark

    You can definitely customize this peppermint Oreo bark to fit your likes.  The recipe calls for regular Oreos, but you can use whatever variety you like! Maybe you prefer double stuffed? Mint flavored? Golden Oreos? You can absolutely switch it up!

    How to store

    I recommend storing the bark in an airtight container, and keeping it in the refrigerator. Refrigerating the bark ensures it stays fresh and doesn't get too soft from sitting out. Plus, anything mint and chocolate flavored is sooo good cold!

    Double Chocolate Peppermint Oreo Bark

    Ingredients

    • 4 oz white chocolate

    • 4 oz bittersweet chocolate

    • ½ teaspoon + ¼ teaspoon peppermint extract

    • 5-6 Oreo cookies, roughly chopped

    • 1 crushed candy cane

    • Red and green sprinkles

    Directions

    • Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. 
    • Melt the bittersweet chocolate and white chocolate in separate bowls. Stir in ½ teaspoon peppermint extract to the melted bittersweet chocolate, and ¼ to the melted white chocolate. 
    • Pour the melted bittersweet chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet. Using an offset spatula, spread the chocolate into a thin(ish) layer. Next, pour the melted white chocolate on top of the bittersweet chocolate, in a swirled pattern.
    • Using a toothpick or a butter knife, drag it through the chocolate and swirl it around. This will spread out the white chocolate and get you a a beautiful marbling effect.
    • Once the chocolate is spread, scatter the chopped Oreos all over the top. Sprinkle on the crushed candy canes and colored sprinkles.
    • Pop in the fridge and let it chill for about 30 minutes, until the chocolate hardens completely. Now it's ready to enjoy!
