I don't know about you, but I love a good loaf of bread. A while ago, I was brainstorming different flavor ideas one night, and I kept going back to two of my favorite breads to make... pumpkin and banana. So I thought... I love pumpkin bread. And I love banana bread. So why not combine the two?! So here we are with the creation of this loaf of deliciousness.
INGREDIENTS FOR PUMPKIN BANANA STREUSEL BREAD
All this talking about pumpkin banana bread is making me want to bake up a loaf... If you want to make a loaf, too, here's everything you'll need!
• All-purpose flour
• Baking soda + baking powder
• Salt
• Pumpkin spice + cinnamon
• Pumpkin puree
• Ripe bananas
• Unsalted butter
• Eggs
• Brown sugar
• Vanilla extract
That's it for the bread. Now for the delicious streusel topping, here's what you'll need:
• All-purpose flour
• Unsalted butter
• Brown sugar
• Cinnamon
• Salt
MAKING THE STREUSEL TOPPING
Making streusel topping is way easier than you might think. Basically, all you have to do is combine all of the streusel ingredients in a bowl with a fork until you're left with big clumps of streusel goodness. And that's it.. so simple!

Pumpkin Banana Streusel Bread
Ingredients
Pumpkin Banana Bread
- 1 ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¾ cup ripe banana, mashed
- ¾ cup pumpkin puree
- ⅔ cup light brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Streusel Topping
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup light brown sugar, packed
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan and line it with parchment paper, if desired. Set aside.
Making the batter
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas, pumpkin puree, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until everything is mixed together.
- Add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and allspice. Whisk until batter is smooth and everything is combined. Pour batter in the prepared loaf pan.
Making the Streusel
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine all of the streusel ingredients. Mix together with a fork until everything is mixed together and clumps form.
- Sprinkle evenly on top of the bread batter.
Baking the Bread
- Pop in the preheated oven and bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before removing from pan and slicing. Enjoy!
