I don't know about you, but I love a good wine & snack board pairing. But not just any snacks or just any wine-- they both have to be just the right combination. There are so possibilities you can do, but I am going to give you the rundown on one of my favorite pairings of the two!
BUILDING YOUR SNACK BOARD
To build the prefect snack board, I always make sure I include three different elements. The three things I always make sure to include are:
♦ Something sweet
♦ Something salty
♦ Something savory
So for this board, here's what I decided to throw together.
♦ For something sweet, I added dark chocolate. Dark chocolate pairs so well with red wines, so I knew I had to include it. I used dark chocolate squares as well as some dark chocolate covered espresso beans. I also added some dried apricots
♦ For something salty, I included some salted mixed nuts and pistachios. I also added some pretzel rods for a nice neutral crunch.
♦ For something savory, I added some sliced of aged white cheddar cheese. You can also include
CHOOSING THE RIGHT WINE
More importantly, before building your snack board, you need to pick the wine! If you're a red wine fan, this Simple Grape Cabernet Sauvignon is the wine you need. It's an all natural, zero sugar and low carb wine that will not disappoint! It's sustainably farmed and made with California grapes. It has all of the delicious, full-bodied flavors with no additives or sugars! Each sip will give you rich, ripe berry fruit notes on the palate.
