    Hazelnut Snowball Cookies

Snowball cookies probably are one of the easiest cookies you can possibly make! They generally don't use eggs or any leaveners, and usually require no chill time. These Hazelnut Snowball Cookies are light, buttery cookies that will melt in your mouth.

    INGREDIENTS FOR HAZELNUT SNOWBALL COOKIES

To make a batch of these mouthwatering cookies, you'll only need six ingredients! Here's what you'll need:

    • All-purpose flour

    • Hazelnut flour

    • Salt

    • Powdered sugar

    • Unsalted butter

    • Vanilla extract

    MAKING HAZELNUT SNOWBALL COOKIES

These cookies come together in just a few simple steps. Here's what you'll do:

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.

Step 2: Cream together the softened butter, ½ cup powdered sugar, and vanilla extract for 1-2 minutes until light and fluffy.

Step 3: Add in the flour, hazelnut four, and salt. Mix until the dough forms. *The dough should be a bit soft but easy to work with.

Step 4: Use a small cookie scoop to scoop the dough. Roll each scoop into balls and place them about an inch or so apart on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5: Bake for 10-12 minutes. The cookies should be just starting to brown on the bottom edges. Allow the cookies to cool almost completely, about 30 minutes or so.

    Step 6:
Add the 1 cup of remaining powdered sugar to a bowl. Roll each cooled cookie in it. That's it!

TIPS FOR THE BEST SNOWBALL COOKIES

♦ Use a cookie scoop. To make sure all of the snowballs bake evenly and turn out the same size, I recommend using a small cookie scoop when prepping the dough.

♦ Cool the cookies! I know a lot of snowball-type cookie recipe tell you to roll the cookies in powdered sugar when they're still hot out of the oven. But I find when I do that, a lot of the sugar melts and things get gooey and sticky. I like letting the cookies cool almost completely, then rolling them in powdered sugar.
