    The Best Slutty Brownies

August 25, 2021 by Chrissy Leave a Comment

If you've never had slutty brownies before, take this as your sign to. They are layered bars that are typically consist of chocolate chip cookies, rich and fudgy brownies, with Oreo cookies baked right into the middle. But to make these the best slutty brownies you'll ever eat, we're adding a fourth layer in there!

INGREDIENTS FOR CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE BASE

We're taking a big of a twist on the classic slutty brownie by adding a fourth layer... a layer of Nutella. Yes, Nutella. I know it's an extra step, but I promise you it is so worth it. But to make a batch of these decadent bars, you'll need to start with the chocolate chip cookie dough base. Here is everything you'll need to make it:

    • All-purpose flour

    • Baking soda

    • Salt

    • Granulated sugar + brown sugar

    • Unsalted butter

    • Egg

    • Vanilla extract

    • Chocolate chips

For the next two layers, it's pretty simple: You'll just need Oreos and Nutella (or any chocolate hazelnut spread)!

    INGREDIENTS FOR FUDGY BROWNIE TOP

And what are slutty brownies without brownies? The last thing you'll need to

    • All-purpose flour

    • Cocoa powder

    • Salt

    • Baking powder

    • Espresso powder (optional)

    • Granulated sugar

    • Unsalted butter + vegetable oil

    • Eggs + egg yolks

    • Vanilla extract

WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO MAKE THESE BROWNIE?

Just a few easy steps stand between you and a batch of these brownie bars. Here's what you'll need to do:

Step 1: Make the chocolate chip cookie dough. Using an offset spatula or back of a spoon, spread the dough evenly in the bottom of a greased 9x9 pan.

Step 2: Carefully spread the Nutella over the chocolate chip cookie dough layer. Be sure not to press too hard-- you don't want the Nutella to mix in with the cookie dough.

Step 3: Lightly press Oreo cookies into the layer of Nutella. You will have to break a few Oreos in half to cover the sides of the pan.

Step 4: Make and pour the brownie batter over top of the Oreo cookies. Be sure to spread the brownie batter in an even layer.

    Storing the brownies

If you managed to not devour the whole pan immediately after slices these bad boys, you can store them for later! Keep the brownies in an airtight container on the counter for 4-5 days!

Hoping these brownies make your day just a little bit sweeter! Happy baking ♥︎

    • 1 ⅓ cup all-purpose flour

    • ¼ teaspoon baking soda

    • ¼ teaspoon salt

    • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

    • ¼ cup light brown sugar, packed

    • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

    • 1 egg

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • ¾ cup chocolate chips

    • Nutella Layer
    • ¾ cup Nutella

    • Oreo Layer
    • 21-22 Oreo cookies

    • Brownie Top Layer
    • ¾ cup all-purpose flour

    • ½ cup cocoa powder

    • ¾ teaspoons salt

    • ¼ teaspoon baking powder

    • 1 tablespoon espresso powder (optional)

    • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar

    • 2 eggs + 1 egg yolk

    • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

    • ¼ cup vegetable oil

    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

    Directions

    • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x9 pan and line with parchment paper, if desired. Set aside.
    • Start by making the chocolate chip cookie bottom layer. Using a stand or hand mixer, begin by creaming the butter and sugars together for about 2 minutes, until fluffy and pale. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add in the egg and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
    • To the bowl, add in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Lastly, mix in the chocolate chips. Dump the cookie dough into the prepared pan and spread into an even layer.
    • Spoon the measured amount of Nutella onto the cookie dough layer. Gently spread it around into an even layer with an offset spatula or the back of a spoon.
    • Lightly press Oreo cookies into the Nutella layer. You will be able to fit about 4 rows across, and 4 rows down. You'll need to break the remaining Oreos in half to cover the remaining area.
    • Lastly, make the top brownie layer. In a large bowl, add the flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, espresso powder. Whisk together until everything is combined.
    • In a separate bowl. mix together the eggs, egg yolk, melted butter, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk for about 1-2 minutes until everything is combined and mixture is smooth. Pour mixture into the dry ingredients, and whisk until the brownie batter is mixed well and there are no clumps.
    • Pour brownie batter over top of the Oreos and smooth into an even layer.
    • Pop in the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. Once done baking, remove from the oven, and allow to cool completely before cutting. Enjoy!
