Chocolate for breakfast, anyone? I am totally down with anything chocolate for breakfast. Chocolate chip pancakes, cereal, muffins... the list goes on. Well, I have definitely added this chocolate almond bread to the list... because it's incredible. It's moist, fluffy and has sooo much chocolate flavor.

    INGREDIENTS FOR CHOCOLATE ALMOND BREAD

Alright-- It's time to get baking! The ingredients for this bread are pretty simple-- nothing too crazy needed.  Here's what you'll need:

    • All-purpose flour

    • Cocoa powder

    • Baking soda + baking powder

    • Salt

    • Unsalted butter

    • Dark brown sugar

    • Milk

    • Eggs

    • Vanilla + almond extract

    • Sliced almonds

Another great thing about this recipe is that it's a one bowl recipe! You'll mix together the wet ingredients first, then add in the dry ingredients to the same bowl and mix everything together. No need for other bowls... because fewer dishes is always better, am I right?!

    MAKING THE CHOCOLATE ALMOND BREAD

This bread is so simple and easy to throw together, so let's make some! Start by adding all of your wet ingredients to a large bowl. That will be the dark brown sugar, melted unsalted butter, eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Whisk until all of the ingredients are combined.

Next, you're going to add in the dry ingredients. This will be the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until everything is combined and your batter is smooth.

Pour the batter into a prepared loaf pan. You can grease it, line it with parchment paper, or both. Once poured, top the batter completely with sliced almonds. Pop into a preheated 350°F oven and bake for about 52-55 minutes. Allow it to cool completely before slicing. And that's it! Enjoy!

TIPS FOR THE BEST CHOCOLATE ALMOND BREAD

While this recipe is super simple and pretty straightforward to make, here are just a few things you can do to make the best chocolate almond bread possible!

    • Don't over mix your batter. To ensure your bread is light and fluffy, make sure that you're mixing your batter only until everything is combined and all floury bits are gone!

    • Top with sliced almonds. Be sure to add a few handfuls of sliced almonds to the top of the batter before popping it in the oven. This adds such a great texture to the bread and gives it so much almond flavor.

    • Add more chocolate. There's no rule saying how much chocolate is too much chocolate. If you are looking to do a little something extra to your bread? If you're looking to add something a little extra, you can add in a few chocolate chips or chunks to the batter!

I'm hoping you love this easy one bowl chocolate almond bread! Oh, and try not to eat the whole loaf at once! 😉

    Happy baking! ♥
