    Gingersnap Magic Bars

November 14, 2022 by Chrissy Leave a Comment

We're putting a fun holiday twist on a classic dessert bar and making gingersnap magic bars! These bars have so many warm spices and so much deliciousness baked into one little bar! They have a spicy gingersnap crust, and are layered with all sorts of goodness like pretzels, white chocolate, coconut, and cinnamon chips. But most importantly, these bars are topped off with a full can of sweetened condensed milk! It helps bind everything together into a perfect bar, and makes them sweetened to perfection!

    INGREDIENTS FOR GINGERSNAP MAGIC BARS

Whether you call them magic bars, kitchen sink bars, seven layer bars, or something completely different, one thing remains the same... they are incredibly easy to make! For these types of bars, you typically don't need too make ingredients, since they only have seven layer. So here's what you'll need to make a batch of the bars:

    • Gingersnap cookies

    • Unsalted butter

    • Salt

    • White chocolate chips

    • Cinnamon chips

    • Sliced almonds

    • Shredded coconut flakes

    • Pretzels

    • Eagle Brand® Sweetened Condensed Milk

HOW TO MAKE GINGERSNAP MAGIC BARS

These magic bars are super simple to make, requiring just four easy steps. Here's what you'll need to do:

Step 1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F. Grease a 13x9 baking pan and line it with parchment paper, if desired. Set it aside while you begin preparing the gingersnap crust.

Step 2. Add the gingersnap cookies to a food processor and pulse until you have a fine crumb. Mix gingersnap crumbs with 10 tablespoons of melted butter and a pinch of salt. Dump the mixture into the prepared pan, and press firmly into an even layer. Now it's time to build the bars!

Step 3. Sprinkle the other ingredients one layer at a time on top of the gingersnap crust. Start with the white chocolate chips, then cinnamon chips, coconut flakes, almonds, and pretzels, Lastly, pour a full can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over top of everything.

Step 4. Pop into the oven and bake for 25-28 minutes. Once done baking, remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before slicing!

PUTTING THE MAGIC IN MAGIC BARS

Have you ever wondered what makes magic bars so magical? Well, I have the answer for you... it’s sweetened condensed milk! It is literally the glue that holds everything together, while making the bars ooey and gooey. As the final ‘layer’, you simply pour a full can of sweetened condensed milk it over the bars once all of the other ingredients have been added. I love using Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk, but you can use any brand you'd like.

If you decide to whip up a batch of these gingersnap magic bars, I hope they bring you lots of holiday joy! Happy baking! ♥
