    Watermelon Margaritas

September 1, 2021 by Chrissy Leave a Comment

Watermelon is one of my favorite fruits of all time. And margaritas are one of my favorite cocktails of all time... so why not combine the two?! So I will gladly soak up the rest of summer, indulging in plenty of these watermelon margaritas. They're light, refreshing, and super simple to make!

    Ingredients for watermelon margaritas

Not only are these watermelon margaritas absolutely delicious, but they're incredibly easy to whip up as well! For the drink itself, you only 5 ingredients!

    • Watermelon juice
    • Tequila
    • Triple sec
    • Lime juice
    • Agave nectar (optional)

Additionally, you will need ice and salt for the rim of your glass! You can also use sugar on the rim if you don't want salt.

Store bought vs. fresh watermelon juice

For this margarita recipe, you are going to need watermelon juice. You can absolutely use store bought watermelon juice if you want to. Personally, I've don't know if I've ever seen watermelon juice in my local grocery store, but if you can find it, it will work just fine.

We typically always seem to have watermelon in the house, so if you do, too, you can easily make watermelon juice yourself! All you will need is a seedless watermelon.

To make homemade watermelon juice: Add peeled and diced seedless watermelon to a blender. Blend for 30 seconds to a minute, until mixture is smooth. Strain, if desired. and viola! That's it!
